Therapy sessions start at $160 and range up to $255, depending on the type of therapy, session length, and therapist.
At Insightful Journey, the standard duration for therapy sessions is 50 minutes for both individual and couples therapy. Clients also have the option to extend sessions to 75 minutes for deeper work or additional support. Family therapy sessions are typically 75 minutes to allow sufficient time for shared discussion and collaboration.
Our team at Insightful Journey includes both Registered Psychotherapists, Qualifying Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers, all regulated professionals affiliated with their respective colleges, including the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
At Insightful Journey, we want you to feel confident about your choice of therapist. Our team offers an optional free 15-minute telephonic or virtual consultation to help you determine if we’re the right fit for your needs. This brief conversation allows you to learn about our therapy styles and share a bit about what brings you to therapy.
If it feels like a good match, you’re welcome to book your first session. There’s no obligation to continue if the connection doesn’t feel right — and our team will be happy to provide referrals to other therapists who may better align with your goals.
If you decide to begin therapy after the consultation, the next steps include completing the consent form for treatment and scheduling your first session. This process ensures that your care is personalized, confidential, and aligned with ethical standards before we begin your therapeutic work together.
Many insurance plans provide coverage for psychotherapy services with a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Social Workers. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm if your plan includes this coverage.
Please note that Insightful Journey does not offer direct billing to insurance providers. Receipts will be provided for you to submit for reimbursement.
At Insightful Journey, we value your time and commitment to therapy. To ensure we can accommodate all clients fairly, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations, missed sessions, or requests to reschedule.
If notice is provided less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment, or if a session is missed, the full session fee will be charged to the credit card on file. This policy allows us to maintain consistency, fairness, and accessibility for all clients seeking support.
At Insightful Journey, we accept payments for therapy sessions through all major credit cards. Payments are processed securely and automatically at the start of each session, offering a seamless and convenient experience.
