Director, Insightful Journey
Some people find their way into this field. For me, it was always the direction I was moving in.
I hold dual Master's degrees in Counselling Psychology and Psychology, alongside specialized training in Mental Health and Addictions. That foundation gives me a depth of understanding that I bring into every session, not as a framework I impose on you, but as a foundation that allows me to meet you with precision, clarity, and genuine insight into what you're experiencing. I've spent years developing a deeply informed, focused perspective on human experiences and mental health challenges, and that knowledge shapes how I show up for the people I work with.
I work with individuals (ages 12 and up), couples, and families navigating mood and anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, addictive patterns, major life transitions, health-related emotional stress, and self-esteem concerns. My scope is focused intentionally, because working within areas I know deeply means you're getting someone who truly understands what you're going through, not just someone familiar with it.
You may have tried to manage this on your own.
You’ve read, reflected, tried to stay strong — but your mind keeps looping, your body stays tense, or your emotions feel overwhelming in ways that are hard to control.
It’s not just one thing.
You might be noticing:
This is where deeper, guided work becomes important.
Most clients tell me they feel at ease from the very first session, not because the work is easy, but because the space feels safe enough to actually do it.
I lead with empathy and genuine curiosity. People tend to find me approachable, and that matters because the conversations we have in therapy aren't always easy ones. I'm warm, but also direct. I won’t offer vague reassurances. What I will do is help you understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface, and work with you to make sense of it in a way that feels relevant to your real life, not just in the session room.
I’m passionate about this work in a way that goes beyond professional obligation. It shapes how I show up, how I listen, and how I think about each person I sit with. That passion translates into sessions where you leave with something real — actual insights, practical strategies, and over time, meaningful change that you can feel in how you cope, relate, and move through your day.
One thing clients often mention is how I use metaphors and analogies to explain complex ideas. Understanding what’s happening inside you is hard enough, and I work to make that process as clear and accessible as possible, so that insight becomes something you can actually hold onto and use.
My approach is integrative, meaning I don’t believe one method fits every person. I shape our work around what you actually need, drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches rather than applying a single framework universally.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to work with unhelpful thinking patterns, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support living in alignment with your values, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)to build emotional regulation and distress tolerance, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen emotional understanding and connection, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work compassionately with the different parts of yourself, and mindfulness-based approaches to strengthen present-moment awareness.
We typically begin with weekly sessions, building the trust, consistency, and momentum that real therapeutic work requires. As you grow more confident and settled in the work, we’ll often shift to biweekly, giving you space to integrate what you’ve learned while maintaining the continuity that supports lasting change.
This space is especially suited for those who:
